  • Playa Carrillo

    It is a white sand beach with services such as parking and picnic area. It is famous for being one of the least developed and quietest beaches in the region. Due to the characteristics of the waves, it is a good beach for families, for swimming and for water sports such as snorkeling.

    Carrillo Beach received the 5 Star Ecological Blue Flag1 awarded by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute that certifies the good quality of water, safety and cleanliness of the beach. He also received the Golden Star2 for his commitment to the environment and for preventing water pollution.

    It presents a type of tropical climate. Being northwest of the country has a warmer and drier climate than the rest of Costa Rica. The rainy season is from April to November but in this part of the country it is usually a little shorter and less rainy.

  • Playa Samara
